RECOMMENDED TREATMENT RATIOS FOR MILITEC-1MILITEC-1 does not have to be shaken before use, the equipment does not have to be running when MILITEC-1 is applied, and MILITEC-1 is not lost when the oil is drained. MILITEC-1 does not have to me used every time the oil is changed. Only 2 oz maximum of MILITEC-1 per quart of oil every 15,000 miles in engines, and 30,000 miles in sealed units (e.g. transmissions, gearboxes), automatic transmission 4oz. is all that is required regardless of oil changes. No special directions are required on when to use MILITEC-1. It can be applied anytime. MILITEC-1 does not thicken or thin the oil and can be used in a broad range of synthetic oils, petroleum oils, mineral oils, greases, transmission fluids, hydraulic fluids, two cycle oils and other special lubricants. Automotive Applications Gasoline Engines: Add 1 1/2 oz. per quart of oil for the first application. Add 3/4 oz. per quart of oil every 15,000 miles thereafter. Another option after the first application is to add 1oz. or more every 3,000 mile oil change or more than 1oz. if the oil change interval is extended. Transmissions: (manual or automatic) Add 4 oz. every 30,000 miles. Differentials: Add 2 oz. every 30,000 miles. Power Steering: Add 1 oz. every 30,000 miles. Air Conditioning: Add 1/2 oz. when recharging with refrigerant. Radiator: Add 1/2 oz. once (for rust and corrosion resistance). Wheel Bearings: Coat metal surfaces with thin film of MILITEC-1 before packaging with grease or use MILITEC-1--EP-2 grease. Industrial Applications Diesel Engines: Add 2oz. per liter of engine displacement first application. Add 1oz. per liter of engine displacement every 15,000 miles or 300 hours thereafter. Intervals can be extended if the oil analyses indicate benefits continue. Gear Boxes, Fluid drives, Speed Reducers: Add 1oz. per quart of primary lubricant every 30,000 miles or 1,000 hours of ordinary use. For very large units, call distributors for applicable ratios. Air Compressors: Add 1oz. per quart of primary lubricant every 30,000 miles or 1,000 hours of ordinary use, which ever is greater. Refrigeration, Air Conditioners: Add 1/4 oz. per ton of refrigeration capacity. Hydraulics: Add 8 oz. to every 5 gallons of hydraulic fluid every 1,000 hours of operation. Metal Working Applications: Apply thin film to metal for threading, tapping, drawing, honing, turning, broaching, drilling, stamping, and milling. Chains, Couplers: Apply thin film to metal. For stronger, longer lasting bond apply to heated metal 150°F to 200°F. Note: For many applications, operating characteristics of MILITEC-1 treated equipment can be monitored to see if MILITEC-1 remains effective over time. Factors such as temperature, noise, vibration, wear metals, and energy consumption are potential indicators. Application ratios can be judged accordingly. Motorcycle/Marine and Two-cycle Applications Common sumps: Add 1 oz. per each quart/liter of oil in sump. Two-cycle: Add 2 oz. per each quart/liter of two-cycle oil.
