KG-12 BORE CLEANER / COPPER REMOVER
TEST RESULTS FROM THE RIFLE STORE
|
This is a small test we carried out in the workshop.
At one time or another we have all heard the various stories about copper
removers and what works best in particular barrels / rifles and so
on.
This is a test that was carried out in the work shop not your normal or
standard cleaning test on rifles or barrels but on something with a bit
more copper than you would usually find.
Most solvents used on this test require you to brush
the copper / fouling out of your barrel with effort & elbow grease
normally for long periods of time.
For the people who are the skeptics amongst us, KG 12 does not require a
lot of effort to work. KG 12 will etch / dissolve the Copper or Carbon
problems out of your barrel when you use it correctly

1. For
the test, each bullet was weighed 3 times to get an accurate weight in
grains for the start.
2. Each bullet was then soaked in different copper solvents for 19
hours
3. After 19 hours each was taken out dried carefully and weighed 3 times ,
results taken and returned to the solvent for a further 5 hours.
4. At the end of 24 hours each bullet was removed from the test solvents
dried and carefully weighed again and the results listed
All tests were conducted as fairly as I could and the results
reflect what happened under the test conditions. You're mileage may
vary. If you don't like the results feel free to spend the time
doing your own tests. If you are the manufacturer of one of the
products tested don't send me hate mail if you don't like the results.
Or, you could send me additional samples to test and report on. As
far as I know all the information presented above is correct and I have
attempted to insure that it is. However, I am not responsible for any
errors, omissions, or damages resulting from the use or misuse of this
information, nor for your doing something stupid with it.
